In a poll taken by Morning Consult, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is the most popular Democratic governor in the United States, with an approval rating of 59%. He is also the 12th governor in the list overall, just barely behind Mike DeWine of Ohio at 60%.

Additionally, Beshear’s approval rating has remained consistent:
      03/31/21 – 58%
      06/30/21 – 58%
      09/30/21 – 54%
      12/31/21 – 56%
      03/31/22 – 59%

Beshear’s 59% rating puts him not only well above the median score of 53%, it also puts him in the top quartile. He is the only Democrat in that top quartile, and the leader of the six Democratic governors that are above the median.

There are only four Democratic governors in the 25 states won by Trump in 2016. Here are their states, names, and approval ratings:
      Kentucky – Andy Beshear – 59%
      Kansas – Laura Kelly – 55%
      North Carolina – Roy Cooper – 52%
      Louisiana – John Bel Edwards – 51%

It appears that even though Kentucky is an exceptionally red state in most ways, the people of the state are pleased overall with the job Andy Beshear is doing as governor.
