MoveOn.org and other groups are sponsoring “Families Belong Together” rallies across the United States, and Kentucky has at least three rallies scheduled.
The main rally is in Washington D.C. on Saturday, June 30, starting at 11 AM in Lafayette Square. Thousands are expected for that rally to protest the Trump administration policy of forcibly separating immigrant children from their families, AND the administration’s inability or refusal to reunite those families.
There are over 100 co-sponsor groups for the June 30 rallies. You can view the entire list here.
“Families Belong Together” rallies in Kentucky
Three rallies are planned so far in Kentucky:
Bowling Green – 10 AM local time, Senator Rand Paul’s office (sign up here)
Lexington – Noon local time, Fayette County Courthouse (sign up here)

In addition, there are rallies in nearby states for Kentuckians that live near these cities:

Evansville – 3 PM local time, Denton Federal Building (sign up here)
President Trump’s executive order supposedly changed the policy from separating families to incarcerating families, and doesn’t address the children already taken from their parents. For more on why these protests are still needed, see this story on Forward Kentucky.
