Guthrie believes deal possible on shutdown


U.S. 2nd District Rep. Brett Guthrie said Wednesday he believes the Trump Administration and the Democrat-controlled House could make a deal to reopen the government by giving both sides what they want. In this case, the Bowling Green Republican said he believes a deal could be made if Congress agrees to appropriate $5.7 billion for what Guthrie described as a border security package of initiatives, and if the Trump White House would agree to a permanent solution for people in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
