The Indivisible chaper centered in Louisville, IndivisibleKY, is helping their friends across the Ohio River flip the IN-09 district from red to blue.

They are promoting two meet-and-greet meetings with the group “Swing Left” in Louisville at the Crescent Hill library. (The meetings are hosted by the Swing Left group.) The goal is to share what Swing Left is doing to get Liz Watson elected in the 9th House district in Indiana, which is considered a good opportunity for a flip from red to blue, and to get some Louisville folks to volunteer to canvass in the district on the weekends.

As noted by Mary Johnson, the Volunteer Coordinator for the district, “People who have not done canvassing before are understandably nervous about going out and knocking on doors ‘cold.’ We want to make people realize it’s a fun opportunity that can result in getting people to vote for Liz. Hopefully at the meeting we can form some carpool groups to do canvassing. We’ll also be talking about our upcoming remote phone banking opportunities for people who can’t get out to canvass.”

If you want to learn more, you can attend either meeting. There will be a light snack before each one-hour meeting.
