Lynching imagery? Oh hell no.

Just saw this story about a Democratic candidate in Spencer County using lynching imagery to make a point in an ad. The Dem, Bobby Smith, is running for judge-executive. He’s trying to spin it as “not meant to represent actual people” but rather the corrupt system in the county.

Thankfully, the KY Dem party has already condemned the ad, called for Smith to pull the ad, and to apologize. His response? “If any liberals are offended, I’ll apologize to them.”

I’ll go the KDP one better: Mr. Smith, you should withdraw from the race. There’s just no need for elected officials, of any party, who would be okay with running that ad, and then defend it when confronted about it.
