#Resist by Attending a Town Hall
Want to attend your Congressperson’s town hall, but don’t know when it is? With the help of the good folks at the Town Hall Project, we’ve got you covered!
If you’ve read the Indivisible Guide, you know that one way you get your MOC (Member of Congress) to act differently is to let them know very clearly what is on your mind. And a good way to do that is to show up at a Town Hall or similar event. The problem is knowing when they happen.
Here are the Kentucky events that they are aware of:
Mitch McConnell — Wed, 2/22 @ 11:30 AM — Louisville Marriott East, 1903 Embassy Square Blvd, Jeffersontown, KY (ticketed event)
Andy Barr — Wed, 2/22 @ 8:00 AM — Montgomery County Courthouse Annex, 44 W Main St, Mt Sterling, KY (FB link)
Mitch McConnell — Thur, 2/23 @ 11:30 AM — Hotel Covington, 638 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41011 (ticketed event)
James Comer — Thur, 2/23 @ 2:00 PM — Casey County Judicial Center, Court House Square, Liberty, KY 42539
Unfortunately, we learned of this site too late to list the other town halls happening this week, including those of Rand Paul and another of Andy Barr. But, we’ve signed up for updates, so in the future we should know ahead of time.
If YOU know of a town hall by one of our Washington reps, please send an email to Tips@ForwardKY.com. Thanks!
