Register for the May 23 webinar on protecting Medicare

After months of pressure from activists, CMS thought they could fool us by replacing the controversial Medicare Direct Contracting program with the nearly identical (and in many ways worse) REACH model. It was an important wake-up call: We will never defeat this threat to Medicare unless we build a powerful — and massive — grassroots movement. That’s where you come in. On Monday, May 23 at 1pm Eastern, PNHP and more than 200 allied organizations will launch the next phase of our campaign to end REACH and protect Medicare from privatization and profiteering. The event is free and open to all, but you must register in advance. (Register here)  (Join webinar here)

Medicare for All rally in DC on July 30, Medicare birthday

A National Week of Action will culminate with a march and rally in Washington D.C. on Saturday, July 30th. Are you interested in traveling to DC for this event? By bus? By van? By car pool? Please respond to nursenpo@aol.com. If there is enough interest, we will plan accordingly. Meetup for the march will be 10:30AM at a DC location TBA and the rally will be happening around 12 noon in Union Square. There will be other calls-to-action that week so stay tuned.
