Louisville says “Hands Off!”

Not going to let a little rain stop us from saving our democracy.

Thousands joined Louisville’s version of the national series of Hands Off rallies protesting Trump policies Saturday, bringing boisterous chants and inventive signs through downtown. Block after block of demonstrators marched to car-honks of support in effectively disciplined columns, sticking to the sidewalks as 50501 organizers at every intersection made sure they obeyed the “walk” and “don’t walk” signs.

The effect was of waves of posters, ponchos, and umbrellas, each lined up as long as the timing of a traffic light would allow, moving from city hall, along the city blocks, and back to city hall to hear from local political leaders.
