The upcoming release of Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell’s biography just a week before Election Day has stirred controversy, with excerpts detailing McConnell's strongest criticisms of former President Donald Trump yet, despite him having McConnell’s endorsement for the 2024 general election.

Here’s how people are reacting to The Price of Power.

According to USA TODAY, excerpts from the upcoming biography, set to be released widely on Oct. 29, say McConnell described former President Donald Trump as “stupid as well as being ill-tempered,” “despicable,” and a “narcissist,” after the 2020 election.

McConnell’s remarks after the 2020 election were shared with Associated Press Deputy Washington Bureau Chief Michael Tackett, who wrote the biography.
