Morning Consult has released their latest rankings of governors across the nation, and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has moved up again.
Among all 50 state governors, Beshear ranks 2nd in popularity, trailing only Phil Scott, the Republican governor of Vermont. Beshear edges out Wes Moore, another Democrat, for the #2 slot.
Other metrics in the survey
Among registered voters of both parties, Beshear has an approval rating of 67%, putting him at the top of all Democratic governors.
Among only Democratic voters, Beshear again leads with 93% approval, followed closely by Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan.
Even among Republican voters, Beshear maintains his popularity.
Other interesting results
Here are a few other metrics of interest:
- Among Hispanic voters, Wes Moore is the favorite, with Whitmer a distant second. Beshear is back in the pack.
- Among Black voters, Whitmer is the top pick by 1 point over Laura Kelly, while Beshear is 3rd.
- Among voters in the 18-34 age range, Moore is #1 at 66% approval, while Beshear is #2 at 61% approval.
- And, among moderate voters of both parties, Beshear is the #1 choice by a large margin.
