Governor Beshear has vetoed HB 9, the charter school funding bill. However, due to the closeness of the original vote on this bill, this veto actually has a chance of standing.

Governor Beshear has vetoed HB 9, the charter school funding bill. The bill not only set up a funding mechanism for charter schools, it also mandated two pilot charter schools be authorized immediately, one in Jefferson County and one in northern Kentucky.
