Biden: ‘Democracy is on the ballot’

President Biden is doing his best to call out the dangers facing our democracy, and the threat of a minority who want to do away with it. A strong and timely speech.

President Biden gave another speech tonight to point out the danger our democracy is in. He begins by describing the attack on Paul Pelosi, then compares it to the attack on the nation’s Capitol.

He calls out the Big Lie and those who promote it, and the violence against election workers and the attacks on our democracy.

“My fellow Americans, we are facing a defining moment, an inflection point, and we must with one overwhelming, unified voice, speak as a country and say there is no place — no place — for voter intimidation or political violence in America.”

He states plainly that the future of our democracy is at stake. “We can’t take democracy for granted any longer.”
