We are so excited to announce our 14th class of women who demonstrate our commitment to changing the face of Kentucky politics. This group of 23 women hail from across the state with representation from rural and urban/suburban communities.
"We are excited to have recruited such a diverse and dynamic group of women. Emerge Kentucky's Class of 2023 will join the nearly 300 alum of our program working to repower political structures across the state and create a Commonwealth where all families can thrive," explains Caitlin Blair, Chair, Emerge Kentucky Board of Directors.
The 23 women in the class represent 11 counties, with Kenton county having significant representation in this year's class. Over half the class are members of the New American Majority (NAM) which includes Black, Brown, and Indigenous women and women of color, LGBTQ+, young, and unmarried women. Class members include educators, attorneys, social workers, community organizers, and policy experts, among other professions. Some of the class members will be running for public office this year.
