Today [Wednesday], the Kentucky Democratic Party announced that former U.S. Senator Doug Jones and former Governor Steve Beshear will be keynote speakers at the upcoming Forward Together Dinner, held on the eve of the 2024 State Convention.

“Kentucky Democrats are firmly committed to creating a better life for Kentuckians in every corner of our Commonwealth,” said Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Colmon Elridge. “We’re grateful to have both Senator Doug Jones and Governor Steve Beshear — committed public servants who worked tirelessly to uplift the communities they served — join us in our mission.”

“The very same energy that I brought to fight for Alabama can also be found in Kentucky, with proven leaders like Governor Andy Beshear and Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman,” said former U.S. Senator Doug Jones, who represented Alabama in the U.S. Senate between 2018 and 2021. “I am excited to join KDP as they work to build a better Kentucky.”

“There is just too much at stake this November, everything from access to a quality education to affordable health care,” said former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. “It’s why we need to send more leaders to Frankfort who share the Kentucky values that separate our state from the rest. By moving forward, together, we will usher in an era where every Kentuckian has an opportunity to thrive.”

The Kentucky Democratic Party is hosting the Forward Together Dinner on June 14 at the Expo Center in Louisville. Tickets can be purchased here. For more information, please contact info@kydemocrats.org.
