Forward Kentucky wins two press awards

Forward Kentucky won two awards at the 2025 Kentucky Press Association awards banquet held on Friday, January 24th in Lexington.

Competing with smaller daily newspapers across the state, Ivonne Rovira won a 2nd Place award for Editorial Writing. Her winning articles were:

And, in something of a surprise, Forward Kentucky won for Best Website across all the small dailies in the state. For winning 1st place, Bruce Maples received an engraved mint julep cup, which you can see in the image above.

This is the second year in a row that Forward Kentucky has won awards at the KPA convention.
