This weekend, Kentucky Democratic Party leaders voted unanimously to elect Colleen Younger as the new Vice Chair of the party. Gov. Andy Beshear, in addressing the party's executive committee, gave his full support to Younger, the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator with a long history of public service and community engagement.

“I am delighted to have Colleen join me as our new Vice Chair and as a partner in leading and building our party. Her experience as a community advocate and public servant will serve our party well as we build on our successes and prepare for an exciting election cycle and beyond,” said Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Colmon Elridge. “As a party we are committed to year-round engagement in every corner of the Commonwealth and that is why I am especially excited by Colleen’s years of community organizing experience.”

"I am humbled by the support from Governor Beshear and fellow executive committee members and feel honored to serve in this role. I am thrilled to continue to work with the Governor, Chair Elridge, and other party leaders to move our Commonwealth forward – to create more opportunities for every Kentuckian,” said Kentucky Democratic Party Vice Chair Colleen Younger. “It is a privilege to be able to continue the work of serving my community and building a Kentucky where everyone can thrive.”
