What kind of monster kills kids for profit?

This isn’t hyperbole. I have absolutely no faith in the shadowy Koch network, founded by über-billionaires Charles Koch and his late brother David. But even I was surprised to discover that they and their fellow traveler, the Vicks VapoRub heiress, were behind spreading misinformation about masks in schools.

Perhaps they think that killing kids with COVID-19 will hurt the economy under a Democratic president. So far that’s not working, as even The Wall Street Journal was forced to admit (subscription required). Perhaps, as libertarian extremists, the Kochs, the Mercers and their ilk don’t want Americans to think they deserve anything: not free vaccinations, not protective gear, not compassion, not safe conditions in schools. Regardless of the reason, what shocks me the most is how this scandal isn’t a bigger deal.
