This week on Moving Kentucky Forward, we are joined by Rev. Lauren Jones Mayfield, who recently attended a meeting at the White House about the new anti-abortion bill in Texas.

We talked about that meeting with VP Kamala Harris and other persons from across the country, and how the meeting went. We then delved into the issue of abortion, and why she stood for abortion access both as a woman and as a minister. Finally, we talked about the response her appearance has received, both inside and outside the church.

Full disclosure — I attend the church where Rev. Mayfield serves as associate pastor, and consider her both a friend and an excellent minister. I tried, during the interview, to be fair and objective, and I hope I succeeded.

My thanks to Rev. Mayfield for taking the time to speak with us. If you believe, as I do, that this is an important message on an important topic, please use the sharing buttons at the top of the post to share it on your own social media.
