Good morning! It’s a little cooler here in The Ville this morning, but a lot hotter in Washington after yesterday’s hastily-scheduled hearing.
At this point, it’s almost gratuitous to say “bombshells,” as each hearing produces more of them. But yesterday’s hearing certainly deserves that word:
- Trump knowing the rioters were armed, and wanting the magnetometers removed anyway, so the rioters could enter the Capitol with their weapons.
- Trump saying “Maybe Mike Pence deserves it” when the rioters began chanting “Hang Mike Pence!”
- Meadows fending off calls for Trump to tell the rioters to stop.
And more, and more, and still more.
