GOP Leges Tried to Kill Harassment Training

Three Kentucky GOP legislators introduced a bill earlier this year to get rid of the General Assembly’s mandatory sexual harassment training.

The bill, SB 152, was sponsored by Sens. John Schickel, Paul Hornback, and Tom Buford. The bill died in committee during the 2017 regular session, but not before it made national news.

Schickel was quoted at the time as saying “It’s my view, if you don’t have manners and know how to treat people, a seminar is not going to teach you how to do it. … This is just an exercise in political correctness.”
