Have you heard of the Patriotic Millionaires? You might have, because they recently spoke at a number of events across Kentucky. And their message? Tax the rich!

Yep, you heard it right: this group of millionaires and multi-millionaires want to pay MORE taxes – because the alternative is the continued destruction of our nation’s fabric due to rising inequality.

Here is my interview with Erica Payne, the president of the group, and Morris Pearl, one of the founders. There’s a lot here, but I’ll drop one more tidbit from the interview:

If you make $100,000 working, you will pay $9,000 in taxes. If Morris Pearl makes the same $100k on his investments, he pays ZERO taxes. Think it’s time for a change?
