The SB 150 Wall of Shame

The faces and names of the purveyors of hate in the Kentucky Senate

On the last night of the last day of the session before veto days, the Republicans in Frankfort sprang a last-minute trick on the state. They passed the worst and most cruel anti-trans bill in the entire United States. And they did it without shame.

The House began the acts of shame, springing the newly-revised hateful bill with only six minutes notice, then shoving it to the floor and approving it despite emotional pleas from lawmakers and everyday citizens.

Since the bill was a rewrite of a Senate bill, the Senate could have stopped it by refusing to concur. But they did not. Over the tearful please of multiple senators, the Republican majority, aided by one Democrat, approved the bill only hours before the session ended.

So even though the House Republicans (again, aided by one Democrat) fired up the bigotry and hate, we are holding the Senate ultimately responsible. Here are the thirty Kentucky Senators who voted for a bill that will cause harm to children across the state. Here are the members of the SB 150 Wall of Shame.
