Can someone explain to me why Republicans are so focused on bathrooms and genitals?
A middle school in Lexington decides to change their bathroom design to give teachers more ability to monitor what goes on in there during bathroom breaks, as well as give the students more individual privacy.
And what do some Repubs immediately ask about?
“Are you sure these aren’t bathrooms designed for trans kids?”
Good grief.
The superintendent had to go to Frankfort and testify in front of an interim committee that No, there will be one bathroom for boys and one for girls.
Think that superintendent had more important things to do, with schools welcoming students last week?
Apparently, even the thought of trans-anything makes Repubs clutch their pearls. (Do male Repubs wear pearls? Hmm.)
Perhaps these trans-phobic, trans-fascinated Repubs need to consider what one commenter said in a tweet: “All bathrooms are gender-neutral, because everybody poops.”
