Trump says the quiet part out loud

And this time, the mainstream media are actually reporting it

At a rally of Christians in Florida, former President Trump said the following:

“Christians, get out and vote. Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore, you know what? Four more years, it’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, you got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote.”

Why would they not have to vote again? The answer is obvious: because there won’t be any more elections for president, as Trump would be president for life.

Here’s one of the many tweets shared about this, and one of many similar responses:

Certain sites and pundits on the left called out the comments immediately, with some lamenting that “once again, the mainstream media is ignoring the threat posed by Trump.”

But this time, the fascist threat registered across the board. Here’s a sample:

Trump is flat-out telling possible voters his plans. While on stage in Florida, speaking to a Christian community, Trump stated that if he were elected, this would be the last time anyone would have to vote. The alarming statement points to an effort to change how America is governed, alluding to abolishing elections and permanently installing himself in office.
The comments went viral on X/ Twitter with more than 17.2million views as of Saturday morning. Many of those who referenced the clip shared their perceived concerns over the language he used in the speech.

Donald Trump said he would be “dictator on day one,” and most people thought he was kidding. He wasn’t, and he isn’t.

The choice in November is clear: democracy or fascism. The mainstream media has done their part. Now you do your by sharing this story.
